“The Lehigh University Child Care Center is looking to continue its successful faculty/staff reading program where interested faculty and staff come to the center and read books/stories to the children.  We will run the program on the following dates for the fall semester:  September 19, October 3, 17, 31, and November 14.  The time would be 11:00 am on these Wednesdays and the reading would take approximately ½ hour.

Feel free to sign up for one date or multiple dates.  We are targeting 5-6 readers per session and would like to accommodate as many faculty/staff who express interest.  We would also be interested in teaming people up where two faculty/staff read one book together to the children if the interest level in this program is high this fall.

Join us on September 2, 2012 for an exciting night of baseball and good friends! We will be renting out the pavilion for a night of fun you won’t want to miss! Cost is $15 per person and includes the price of your ticket and an all you can eat buffet which will be avail-able for 2.5 hours. The buffet will include hot dogs, hamburgers, BBQ chicken, veggie baked ziti, potato salad, baked beans, corn on the cob, fresh fruit and cookies. Buffet will start 1 hour prior to the game. Game starts at 5:30PM. Spaces are limited so register today!

A frequently asked question we get asked here at the Graduate Life Office is how to access Google Docs for registration for Lehigh events. So we’ve come up with a handy dandy step by step instructional listed below. If you have any problems while following these steps, please contact us at ingrador@lehigh.edu.

Step 1: Make sure your are logged out of your Gmail account

Step 2: Log back into your Gmail account typing in your full Lehigh email address into the Username Field. Do not add in your password. Press the blue sign in button. Below is an image of what your screen will look like during this step. PLEASE NOTE: The username being used is an example. You should log in using your unique Lehigh username.

Step 4: Now that you are signed in, click on the referring link provided for registration.

Brian Storm is Founder & Executive Producer of the Award-Winning Multimedia Production Studio MediaStorm. He will present on how storytelling continues to evolve as a result of technological innovations and an expanding media universe. The digital age gives filmmakers, documentary photographers and photojournalists extraordinary and unprecedented new ways to tell stories. Prior to launching MediaStorm in 2005, Storm spent two years as vice president of News, Multimedia & Assignment Services for Corbis, a digital media agency founded and owned by Bill Gates. Storm was the first director of multimedia at MSNBC.com.

The event will take place in Lamberton Hall  from 4:10 pm-5:30. Admission is free and open to the public.
